Character Trait in Fleabag
Relatable: fleabag is all of us in a sense, she is lonely and trying hard to be happy, she does all this self-sabotaging while also trying to distract her from her empty heart
Vulnerable: she shows who she really is ( to the viewer), what is her true wishes and goals, her bad habits, her relationships and how she navigates them.
Truthful: there are a lot of other methods where a character can be open and vulnerable, in this case, fleabag breaks the 4thwall and talk to the camera to the viewers, saying what she actually thinks and giving us the viewers her own very personal remarks and expressions making us feel like we are a part of her visual diary or a friend, this engages the viewer and make us unconsciously roots for her wanting the best for her
Surprising: she surprises people in a way that at first, we would assume she would do certain stuff, but in reality she will do another thing, building up a certain character and doing something out of that character will make the viewer stand on their toes
Witty and humorous: I will shave up 5 years of my life to be able to be half as witty as fleabag

In the wrong place at the wrong time: she is a victim of her surrounding,
Fleabag is a new and fresh show that jaded city rats like myself found interesting to watch from the characters to the storyline it draws attention to the conundrum and complexity of a human fleabag the protagonist, is a dark humorous girl who uses sex and relationship sabotage to fill in her void in her heart, whether it is unfinished grief or something else, the narratives shows the humanity in her and complex human reactions to things that happen in life, how human is naturally a contradictor in their life but really at the end of the day what humans need is another people to love and to put attention to.
What makes it more interesting in the genre, which follows the dramatic device within the story is the opposite attraction. The synthesis of the sabotage, when the polar end meets its reflection which i am going to discuss in my next article; the Ambivalence in Character Writing
Fleabag has two seasons that first, it focuses on the protagonist and shows bits and parts of how she is a destructive sabotaging character, or as her dad describes as naughty. Later in season 2, it shows the journey of her taking a conscious change and getting better and also experiencing a bittersweet love.
